Design Studio Blueprint
I took these photos downtown Ann Arbor and chose this particular structure because I found the round arches over the windows an interesting design of the building. I chose to take the pictures from these differing angles to capture all of the intricate details of the arches and roof of the building. I think that the round arches and detailed roof add character to the structure and give it an older feeling. The dark grayish-green color of the brick pulls the color scheme nicely together.
Apartment Complex Blueprint
I took these photos of an apartment complex downtown Ann Arbor because I liked the symmetry of all the windows that is disrupted by the AC units in varying locations without a pattern. I chose this composition for the photos because the red color of the brick brings out the lines of the structure and the different angles each show different parts of the building. I am trying to convey the structured feeling of apartments in the city, and how it feels like they are all the same little cubicles stacked on top of one another.
I took these photos of a house in downtown Ann Arbor because it's a very different style of house than you would expect to see in a city. The fact that it's surrounded by trees and covered in vines makes it feel more connected to nature than the rest of the city buildings. I chose this composition for my photos because I wanted to portray the villa style of the house and show its unique features.
City Building Blueprint
I chose to take these photos of an investment building because it appears almost castle-like with its structure and height, and I found the security cameras along the side to be a cool touch. I chose this composition for my photos because the angles make it seem like the building is looking down on the viewer, like it's watching them. It almost has the appearance of a prison with its stone structure and security cameras. I am trying to convey the feeling of something being locked away behind the building's walls.
I chose to take these photographs of my church in downtown Ann Arbor because it has an old stone structure that gives it a more ancient look. I chose this composition for the photos because they each show a different angle and perspective of the church exterior. I am trying to convey the grandiosity of the church by capturing it from below looking up. It appears larger and taller from this angle, which gives it a towering feeling.
